Sheila’s Day

Mar 2, 2021 - Mar 23, 2021

Encore Performance

If it’s March, it’s Women’s History Month, and what better way to mark the occasion at Crossroads than with a look back at one of its most impactful productions: Sheila’s Day, the joyous musical celebration that honors and celebrates women and their perseverance. Featuring members of the original ensemble cast, this is a loving look back at the creative process of this devised work co-created by American and South African women telling the stories of their mothers and the mothers in the movements for equality and justice. Interspersed with excerpts from Crossroads’ triumphant production at The Market Theatre in Johannesburg, this program will delight those who fondly remember this production, and educate and inspire many new fans as well.
